A tour in Porto San Giorgio. Iceland volley visits the city

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmailFacebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmailToday I started my day inside the Hotel Gabbiano, where the Iceland’s volley delegation stay during these days. They will play a tournament in Porto San Giorgio and Porto Sant’Elpidio (a city near to mine), called “Pasqua Challenge”. This morning they only were tourists. They made a tour and I had the chance to tell them something about the city. Maybe it was not as much as I should have done, because of they had no much time to spend on the tour. Moreover the weather did not help and we had a bus tour.

We brought them to visit the port, where Mr. Basilio Ciaffardoni, technical manager of the structure, explained them something about the touristic and fishing port. I translated for them and then we went to see our biggest sport hall, Palasavelli, where many sport games and competition takes place during the year.
While coming back to the center of the city I could tell them about the historical villa Bonaparte, which take its name by Girolamo Bonaparte, Napoleon’s brother. Then a little walk through the old alley “Corso Castel San Giorgio”, and then the group went inside the theatre. There I could explaind them something about the structure.

It was time to go to visit Fermo, our province’s main city. It was the time to say them goodbye, but I will probably meet them again during the matches.
